Clement Jewitt - Compose Clement took up composing in his 40s, with the intention to use contemporary techniques to create beauty. After some years working with wind, percussion and voices, he recently focussed on writing for strings.  This wonderful CD is the result, excellently produced by DINMORE RECORDS. String Quartet No.1 is a feeling response to the powerful words set; No.2 harks back here and there to the Baroque music Clement used to perform, and has been described as 'Near a masterpiece'; No.4 presages a new, deeper and finer compositional direction.
